Studying the forms, causes and consequences of unemployment, illiteracy and proposing strategies for prevention of these relatively universal problems is an important but insufficient mission in developing countries. Much is not being done to rescue this situation. In Uganda unemployment is caused by school drop outs, inadequate jobs, suspension of studies and wide spread poverty. Productive drop outs be assigned curriculum of vocational courses designed to awaken a rightful commitment.

Young women and girls in Arua city slum areas and entire West Nile region fear to mention their problems and felt they have messed up their lives through teen marriage and school dropout, are so fearful of change because change could potentially make their situation worse, so instead, they remain in their current situation of material poverty, too paralyzed to do anything about it. Someone may not be materially impoverished, but if they have poverty of being, they are unlikely to maintain their comfortable economic situation for very long. Similarly, if someone has ideas, confidence and initiative (in other words, does not have poverty of being) but they are lacking economic resources, they too will have a difficult time succeeding. Therefore, it is both poverty of being and material poverty that WAF seeks to address in the business development courses and to reinforce in the microcredit loan program. It is our belief that in order to fully succeed, the young women and girls must not become dependent on outside forms of aid, but rather must use existing resources to become more self-reliant and self-sufficient, ultimately creating a better way of life for themselves and their children.

HOW WILL THIS PROJECT SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?
Majority of girls who drop out of school tend to leave villages to towns looking for jobs others remain in villages waiting for an opportunity to work somewhere or to get married. Ours is an attempt to reintegrate girls who drop out of school and provide them with skills through vocational education Girls from streets will be integrated in this school to equip them with practical skills. This will help to reduce crimes like prostitution .Thus shaping their future.

Identification of the need
To better prepare the young women and girls for their re-entrance especially teen mothers, widows and single mothers into society, this proposal outlines a set of actions to practice immediately. WAF trained 15vulnerable women and girls on tailoring and provided tools to aid their business in 2016-2017 in Arua towns, supported by TWAM UK., 50 more identified are in need of support. In order to encourage the proper repayment of soft loans, methods of positive strengthening will be introduced. While many people experience material poverty, WAF’s beneficiaries also experience a different kind of poverty: poverty of being. This means that despite having bright ideas, they often lack the self-confidence to pursue those opportunities.

Potential Long term Impact
More girls and women who have had fallen into vulnerable lives will have their own jobs and sustain themselves economically. This is as a result of skills got from the training and setting their own businesses.
