Physical impairment Support This Project

World Health Organization estimates that approximately 12% of any population is disabled. It also estimates that of the 10% only 5.8% of persons with disabilities need to be provided with services.
The United Nations Standard Rules on Equalization of Opportunities for PWDs (1991) urges all nations to show strong commitment on equalization of opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).

The National Policy on Disability in Uganda therefore, aims at promoting equal opportunities for enhanced empowerment, participation and protection of rights of PWDs irrespective of gender, age and type of disability.
This is in recognition that PWDs can perform to their full potential given the same conditions and opportunities irrespective of their social, economic and cultural backgrounds. The Policy is to guide and inform the planning process, resource allocation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities with respect to PWDs concerns at all levels.
Most of the PWDs have little attention from been supported, there are cases of rejection by their parents or relatives indoors as a curse.

World Action Fund, has a data base of over 5000 of PWDs, and has only provided appliances, to 1450 beneficiaries, not every PWD needs appliances, others need surgery or correction, speech training, or other types of support, due to limited funding, we dont support, government has very little budget to support many cases in every sub-county $167 is provided to every lowest administration unit to PWDs, thus having limited impact on ground
